Bringing greater transparency to stock exchanges

As part of the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative, Candriam asks stock exchanges to issue Voluntary Reporting Guidance on how to report ESG information

Together with investors involved in the Principles for Responsible Investment and UN Global Compact companies, Candriam Investors Group calls on stock exchanges around the world to put in place voluntary guidance for issuers on how to report ESG information. This effort is motivated by stock exchanges that have asked to hear directly from investors and issuers regarding ESG integration and reporting into their markets.

This global campaign, led by Allianz Global Investors, was launched with the release of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges Model Reporting Guidance. This resource provides a foundation from which stock exchanges can customize guidance for their companies on reporting ESG information to investors. The aim of this collaborative initiative is to ask stock exchanges to put in place voluntary guidance for issuers on reporting ESG information by the end of 2016.

Candriam has signed this initiative to highlight the fact that as an asset manager we want to enhance transparency on ESG information and reporting across all markets, thus providing the information to enable a better SRI assessment of companies.” says Isabelle Cabie, Global Head of SRI.

Back in 2010, Candriam signed the SSE - Sustainable Stock Exchange initiative which has prompted this new campaign. Click here for more information.
