Early diagnosis of cancer is a global benefit. Early detection can make treatment easier, improve outcomes, reduce deaths, and reduce costs. Some of the most common cancers have high recovery  rates if detected early, according to the World Health Organisation. A few cancers can be detected through screening; most are detected by recognizing certain health 'warning signals'. Once the possibility of cancer is detected, diagnosis requires additional technologies.
